“WatchFitPro” is an app provided by Shenzhen MaTuo Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, or “MaTuo”) that offers sports guidance and health services. MaTuo attaches great importance to your personal information and privacy protection. We will provide corresponding security measures for your personal information in accordance with legal requirements and industry‑standard security practices.
In order to provide better sports and health services, we need to collect your: network information (carrier information), location information (precise location, movement tracks, etc.), Bluetooth information (turning Bluetooth on/off, connecting to nearby devices), physical activity data, and data you actively upload. This information helps to calculate sports data more accurately, and health‑related information is used for storage and display to you.
After you exit the “WatchFitPro” app, the app may still access the phone’s sensors to collect step‑counting data and connect to the network for data synchronisation, message reception, device software updates, and log uploads.
To manage your WatchFitPro data, we rely on an account service for registration and login. Before using your account, please make sure you have read and agreed to the corresponding account’s privacy statement, so that you understand and consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information by that account service. After logging in, we need to use your account information (nickname and profile picture) and basic personal details (gender and date of birth). The nickname and profile picture are displayed within the app, and gender and date of birth help us provide better exercise recommendations.
To manage your WatchFitPro devices (including smart wearables, ecosystem devices, and third‑party devices provided by MaTuo), we need to collect your device identifiers (MAC address, IMEI), hardware information, device usage information, basic system information, and network information. This collection is for the purpose of establishing Bluetooth connections, managing device configurations, completing software upgrades, displaying data sources, and counting device activations – these data are also used to improve user experience.
To support synchronisation between smart wearables and the phone, we need to read calendar events and basic system information from the phone to the wearable device. We connect to WatchFitPro devices via Bluetooth and obtain sports/health data, logs, location information, and device information. You can stop this collection by disconnecting or unpairing the device.
After connecting certain WatchFitPro devices, in order to provide more accurate data monitoring, the nickname, gender, birthday, height, and weight you enter in “Profile” > “Personal Info” within the app will be synced to the device (such as bands or watches).
For wearable devices that support calling functions, we need to display phone contacts and call logs so that you can answer or make calls from the wearable.
When connecting a WatchFitPro device, “WatchFitPro” only provides the upgrade channel; the device firmware version is provided by the device manufacturer, who is responsible for version quality and upgrade results. Your device name, device identifier, and device usage information will also be uploaded to MaTuo’s servers for activation statistics and problem analysis. For more details, please refer to the “MaTuo User Agreement and Privacy Statement”.
Third‑party apps that interact with paired smart wearables through “WatchFitPro” may obtain your device’s random identifier (resettable on pairing and unique per app), device name, hardware information and status (charging or in use), and other data. These third‑party apps may also send messages or notifications to your paired wearable. With your explicit authorisation, these third‑party apps may access sensor data, sleep status, activity types (walking, running), wearing status, logs, location, and device information.
If your wearable supports weather forecasts, we will send your location information to a weather service provider to obtain local weather information and display it on the wearable. You can disable this function at any time in the device management section of the app.
If you use location‑based features, the Amap (Gaode) map and location SDK we use require you to grant location permissions and collect your device location information (latitude/longitude, precise location, coarse location) [obtained via IP address, GNSS, Wi‑Fi status, Wi‑Fi parameters, Wi‑Fi list, SSID, BSSID, base station information, signal strength, Bluetooth information, sensor information (vector, acceleration, pressure, direction, geomagnetic), device signal strength, external storage directory], device identifiers (IMEI, IDFA, IDFV, Android ID, MEID, MAC address, OAID, IMSI, ICCID, hardware serial number), current app information (app name, version), and device parameters and system information (system properties, device model, OS, carrier information).
When you use our services, we may automatically collect detailed usage information as network logs, such as telecom carrier, network environment, language, access dates and times, dwell time, and refresh records.
To manage your personal information and improve the accuracy of sports data, we need to collect your gender, date of birth, height, weight, and exercise settings. You can fill in or modify these in “Profile” > “Personal Info”. If you do not provide this information, the accuracy of sports data calculation may be affected, but it will not affect your local use of personal information management features.
To record, back up, and manage your sports data, we need to collect your location, movement tracks, activity type, duration, steps, distance, calories, elevation, speed, and other sports‑related data. Activity types include walking, running, hiking, etc. The purpose of collecting this information is to record and summarise your daily sports data and tracks, and to provide you with a rich sports service.
For outdoor single‑session activities, the providers that support track recording include: Amap (Gaode) Software Co., Ltd., Shenzhen MaTuo Technology Co., Ltd., and Google. Using this service requires collecting and providing your location information to the map service provider. Some map providers may also require your device identifiers and network information; the specific collection and processing are governed by the respective third‑party privacy policies – please refer to the privacy policies of the relevant map service providers.
If you do not provide this information, cloud‑side storage of sports data will not be possible, and you may lose data when uninstalling the app or changing devices. However, local recording of sports data will not be affected.
To manage and display your health data, we need to collect your sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, etc. Health data is considered sensitive personal information. The purpose is to measure, record, display, and summarise health‑related data, and to provide you with comprehensive health services.
If you do not provide this information, we will not be able to provide cloud‑side storage of health data, and you may lose data when uninstalling or changing devices. However, local use of the health data management features in “WatchFitPro” will not be affected.
Users can submit problems through the “Feedback” feature in the app. We need to obtain the ANDROID_ID to identify the questioner and to reply with answers.
When problems occur during app use, you can report them via the “Suggestions & Feedback” interface. You need to provide a description of the issue and your contact information. To help us resolve the problem as quickly as possible, we also need to collect system usage information, hardware information, device identifiers, basic system information, and read the currently running application process information. The logs and contact information uploaded are used only for communication and issue diagnosis, and will be automatically deleted after the data retention period. If you do not provide this information, our developers may not be able to solve your problem, but this will not affect your use of other functions of the service.
