Privacy Policy for Mgc Fit

Last Updated: August 28, 2026 Effective Date: April 12, 2024

Introduction

Welcome to "Mgc Fit" (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "Mgc Fit"), an app that provides sports guidance and health services. Mgc Fit takes your personal information and privacy very seriously. We will protect your personal information in accordance with legal requirements and industry‑standard security measures.

To provide better sports and health services, we need to collect: network information (carrier information), location information (precise location, exercise tracks, etc.), Bluetooth information (enabling/disabling Bluetooth, connecting to nearby devices), physical activity data, and data you actively upload. This information helps us calculate exercise data more accurately and is used to store and display your health and fitness information.

Even after you exit the Mgc Fit app, the app may still access your phone's sensors to obtain step count data, and may connect to the network to synchronise data, receive messages, update device software, and upload logs.

To manage Mgc Fit data, we rely on an account service for registration and login. Before using the account, please ensure you have read and agreed to the corresponding account privacy statement to understand how your personal information is collected, used, and shared. After logging in, we use your account information (nickname and avatar) and basic personal information (gender and date of birth). The nickname and avatar are displayed in the app, while gender and date of birth help us provide better exercise recommendations.

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

1.1 Mgc Fit Device Management

To manage your Mgc Fit devices (including smart wearables, ecosystem devices, and third‑party devices that are serviced by Mgc Fit), we need to collect your device identifiers (MAC address, IMEI), hardware information, device usage information, system basics, and network information. This is used to establish Bluetooth connections, manage device configurations, complete software upgrades, display data sources, and count device activations – all of which also help improve user experience.

To support the synchronisation of information between your smart wearable and your phone, we need to read calendar events and system information to the wearable device. We connect to Mgc Fit devices via Bluetooth to obtain exercise/health data, logs, location, and device information. You may stop this data collection by disconnecting or unpairing the device.

After connecting certain Mgc Fit devices, the nickname, gender, birthday, height, and weight you enter in the "Profile" > "Personal Information" section of the Mgc Fit app will be synced to the device (e.g., bracelet, watch) to provide more accurate monitoring.

For wearable devices that support calling, we need to display phone contacts and call logs to enable answering and placing calls from the wearable.

When connecting Mgc Fit devices, Mgc Fit only provides a channel for firmware updates. The firmware version is provided by the device manufacturer, who is responsible for its quality and update results. Your device name, identifiers, and usage information are also uploaded to Mgc Fit servers for activation statistics and troubleshooting. For more details, please refer to the User Agreement and Privacy Statement.

Third‑party applications that interact with paired smart wearables via Mgc Fit may obtain your device's random identifier (reset on pairing and unique per app), device name, hardware information and status (charging or in use), etc. These third‑party apps may also send messages or notifications to your paired wearable. With your explicit consent, they may access sensor data, sleep status, activity type (walking, running), wear status, logs, location, and device information.

If your wearable supports weather forecasts, we will send your location information to the weather service provider to obtain local weather data to display on the device. You may disable this feature at any time in the device management section of the app.

If you use location‑based features, the Amap (Gaode) map and location SDK we use require you to grant location permissions and collect your location information (latitude/longitude, precise location, coarse location) [via IP address, GNSS, Wi‑Fi status, Wi‑Fi parameters, Wi‑Fi list, SSID, BSSID, cell tower information, signal strength, Bluetooth, sensor data (vector, accelerometer, pressure, orientation, geomagnetic), device signal strength, external storage], device identifiers (IMEI, IDFA, IDFV, Android ID, MEID, MAC address, OAID, IMSI, ICCID, hardware serial number), current app information (app name, version), and device parameters and system information (system properties, device model, OS, carrier).

When you use our services, we may automatically collect detailed usage logs, such as telecom carrier, network environment, language, access date/time, dwell time, and refresh records.

1.2 Mgc Fit Data Management

1.2.1 Personal Information Management

To manage your personal information and improve the accuracy of exercise data, we need to collect your gender, date of birth, height, weight, and exercise settings. You can fill in or modify these in the "Profile" > "Personal Information" section. If you do not provide this information, the accuracy of exercise calculations may be affected, but you can still use the local personal information management features.

1.2.2 Exercise Data Management

To record, back up, and manage your exercise data, we need to collect your location, exercise tracks, activity type, duration, step count, distance, calories, elevation, speed, and other related data. Activity types include walking, running, hiking, etc. This data is used to record and display your daily exercise and routes, providing you with rich fitness services.

For outdoor single‑session activities, the track‑recording service is provided by Amap (Gaode Software Co., Ltd.), Mgc Fit developers, and Google. Using this service requires us to collect and provide your location information to the map service provider. Some map services may also require your device identifiers and network information; the collection and processing of such data are governed by the respective third‑party privacy policies. Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective map providers.

If you do not provide this information, we will not be able to save your exercise data in the cloud, and you may lose data when you uninstall the app or change devices. However, you can still use the local exercise recording feature.

1.2.3 Health Data Management

To manage and display your health data, we need to collect your sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, etc. Health data is considered sensitive personal information. This collection is used for measurement, recording, display, and statistics of health‑related data, enabling us to offer comprehensive health services.

If you do not provide this information, we cannot save your health data in the cloud, and you may lose it upon uninstallation or device change. However, you can still use the local health data management features of Mgc Fit.

1.3 User Feedback

Users can submit issues via the "Feedback" feature in the app. We need to obtain the ANDROID_ID to identify the questioner and reply accordingly.

1.4 User Experience Improvement Service

When you encounter problems while using the app, you can report them through the "Suggestions & Feedback" interface, where you need to enter a description of the problem and your contact information. To help us resolve issues quickly, we also collect system usage data, hardware information, device identifiers, system basics, and information about running app processes. The logs and contact information are used only for communication and troubleshooting and will be automatically deleted after the storage period. If you do not provide this information, developers may not be able to fix your problem, but it will not affect other functions of the service.

2. Permission Calls

Auto‑start permission: This app has an auto‑start feature. To ensure that the app can receive Bluetooth device exercise data even when closed or in the background, the system may broadcast certain events to wake up the app at a certain frequency. This is necessary for the functionality and service. The auto‑start capability is used to maintain the stability of Bluetooth data transmission and to respond promptly to Android devices. This behaviour is essential for Bluetooth functionality and the associated services.

Storage permission: When you use sharing, vibration‑based step counting, or login features, you may choose to grant this permission to read or write app usage information, images, videos, and intermediate step data. If you do not need this service, you can turn off this permission at any time without affecting other services.

Camera permission: When you scan a QR code to connect a device or apply to join a shared space, we need to request this permission to take pictures. If you do not need this service, you can turn it off at any time without affecting other services.

Location permission: When you use track‑image generation for a single exercise, Bluetooth pairing, or location‑based searches in shared spaces, you may choose to grant this permission to determine your current location. If you do not need this service, you can turn it off at any time without affecting other services.

Bluetooth permission: Used to obtain watch battery level, step count, heart rate, and other data.

Network permission: Used for watch‑face installation, shared space data retrieval, app feedback, error log collection, update checks, licence activation, and account login.

Device information access: Used to verify user device information.

Contacts permission: When you use the wearable to sync contacts to your watch, the caller's name will be displayed during an incoming call. If you do not need this service, you can turn it off at any time without affecting other services.

Physical activity: When you use the phone‑only exercise function, you need to grant this permission for step counting to work properly. If disabled, steps will not be recorded.
